Flight Log - 2011-10-22 - Peter Waithe's Big Nuke

The fins feature fiberglass that is internal as well as thick fillets.  Each tube has 3 inch wide kevlar to prevent zippering.  The electronics bay is standard and has a Missileworks switch for altimeter operation.  The payload tube is 27 inches long.  I have 25 feet of tubular nylon shock cord for drogue and main.

Flight Date: 2011-10-22
Rocket Name: Big Nuke
Flyer's Name: Peter Waithe
Motors: Aerotech J500G
Launch Site: Amesbury, MA
Actual Altitude: 1,702.00 Feet

This flight was a very aggressive flight.  A camera was attached to the rocket to attempt to capture the green flame, but the camera was lost, presumably during takeoff.  The skies were overcast and the J500's flame was easily seen against the dark clouds.  The recovery was picture perfect from 1,702 feet.
