Tom says he'd like to support keeping "EMRR an attractive site for
modelers". With their exciting kits as prizes, that certainly helps.
For the 2006 EMRR Challenge, Qmodeling has offered a 2006 release kit for the
Bronze prize: a MRS-ANDROMEDA. Qmodeling then went a step further and offered up another 2006 release kit plus some
rocket stands for this bonus activity.
So, for all of the Challenge #5 entries, this extra bonus prize will
be awarded to the kitbash design that gets the top votes of our guests.
Prize:
- MRS-SI (Satellite Interceptor)
- Rocket Stand 5-Pack (Customer can choose any combination of 18mm, 24mm, 29mm
stands)
Contest Rules:
- Must be participating in the 2006 EMRR Challenge
- Must have at least 12 points on 2006 EMRR Challenge by 12/15/2006
- Contestants may only enter one (1) entry.
- All entries must be submitted by 12/15/2006 in order to be
accepted.
- What kits can be used for the Kitbash challenge?
- What counts as a kitbash?
- Here is the definition from the EMRR Glossary:
- 1.) The practice of modifying a rocket kit to achieve some result other than
that intended by the manufacturer;
- For the intent of this challenge, the tranditional kitbash allows the use of
everything that comes in the bag/box (including the bag/box) to create a new rocket. No other parts may be added.
- Glue and nose weight (if required) are allowable.
- On the kitbash, It says we can use all the parts including bag and box but we
can't add parts. Are we REQUIRED to use all the parts that came in the kit?
- On the kitbash, you say we can't add parts. Do decals count as parts? Are we
allowed to trade parts? For example, can an 18mm motor mount BT20 be swapped for a 24mm BT50?
Winners will be determined by online voting and will be notified via
e-mail.
