Kitting the rocket. (2011-07-21 00:00:00) I just finished the drawing of my rocket it is a free hand drawing. The rocket Little Darko looks good. I am now turning to my build pile and throwing everything out onto the table to create a kit. I some times do this all over the living room floor so I can see every part in the build pile. A build pile is the left over of parts and any thing you use to build rockets like nose cones, engine hooks, fin material ect. Look at everything. So that as your building you don't over look that perfect part that (could of been used earlier) in the build. This also gives you the opportunity to custom make parts for the kitting process. Things like vacuumed forming.
- Drawing
- Nose cone PNC-20 a foam block.
- Engine hook
- Engine hook retainer. (Round tube one inch cut length way to rap around body tube to hold hook in place.)
- Transition pattern. 24mm to 18mm 3inch long.
- 18mm engine block.
- 2 pieces of 13mm tubing BT-5
- One piece of Bt-20
- Two pieces of bt-55 20mm long.
