Another drag race for the Wildman Goblin 5 with 3/16 carbon fiber fins.  This time with the L1256 super white (a 3-grain L).  My competitor used the M2052 (4 grain super white) but his Goblin had the 1/2" foam core fins.  My rocket was slower off the pad and was falling behind when my competition had a small mishap - his fins came off the rocket.  So I won by default this time.

The weather at the Rocket Pasture was unusually calm with less than 5mph winds and crystal-clear skies well above the 50,000' waiver.  Apogee was within a few feet of the simmed value.  Recovery was very easy just across 80th right at Dixon.  For some reason the altimeter didn't register the 20fps main rate, but the GPS verified the slow, soft return to earth.  Next time I'll stick with the L1940x for drag racing though. This motor was too slow.
