Rocket PicBrief:
A through C motor, close to RTF rocket with parachute recovery. Ready-to-fly plastic Naboo Fighter requires no construction or painting! Must be flown with flight probe.

Construction:
Assembly is very, very minimal and that it why it is a RTF. There was one joint on the tubes and then a full plastic fin assembly with a built-in motor mount. It went together in a snap. Even the 17" parachute was pre-assembled. No painting, no decals, just fly it.

Construction Rating: 3 out of 5

Flight:
I would recommended a C6-3 for this model. It gives a straight flight even with a strong wind (no weathercocking at all). The rocket does require wadding. The motor is locked inside the fin assembly with a cap.

I now have more than ten flights on this rocket and am happy with its performance.

Recovery:
The recovery system is the shock cord that is glued to the side of the tube (typical Estes). Perfect recovery.

Flight Rating: 5 out of 5

Summary:
Easy to put together and also flies with no problem. Also a fun first flier for a newbee.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5

GUEST's OPINION:
11/03 - "This rocket is a fairly good one. The reason I say "fairly" is because it has a few problems. First, all you can see in the box when you buy it is the fighter. However, there is also a "flight probe" that is really just a normal rocket that needs to be assembled like any other E2X kit. The fighter doesn’t come in until the last step, when you simply remove the fighter's tail and slide the fighter onto the rocket. It still looks cool though, and you do get a display stand to place the fighter on when it isn't attached to the rocket. Second, only the C6-3 will work. The rocket already goes twice as high as the box says it will, and the C5-3 will cause it to go 50' not 10' higher. But if you use the C6-3, the rocket will work just like any other rocket would, except that it looks better because of the naboo fighter." (J.A.S)

GUEST's OPINION:
08/01 - "I have to add that I was very surprised by the altitude I got when I launched this rocket on a C6-3 engine. Like the other reviewer, I was expecting about 188 ft of altitude because that is what was stated on the box and the fact that the entire rocket (without engine) weighs 3.8 ounces and has a large and irregular frontal surface area. Well, I pressed the launch button and Whoooosh! At least 500 feet of altitude, probably 600 feet ... no kidding." (D.S.C.)

GUEST's OPINION:
06/01 - "Another nice thing about this kit is that it also flies great without the plastic Naboo plastic model impaled on the body tube. With the Naboo removed the remaining rocket is a sleek all black, three finned rocket that leaps into the sky. The very nice Naboo fighter model, with its removable spike tail installed, displays well at home while the black rocket makes the field trips." (S.T.)

GUEST's OPINION:
05/01 - "When my mother bought my kids this rocket, I thought it was a bad choice. As I helped them assemble it, I thought "What a stupid rocket." When it flew for the first time, however, my opinion changed radically. It's definitely a good starter rocket for a young kid, but in my experience, don't try an A or a B motor. Head straight for the C, then try a D21 if you're really brave!" (K.R.J.)

GUEST's OPINION:
05/01 - "I really enjoy this rocket. It is a real blast on the recommended C6- 3 motor. The box claimed about 188 feet on the C. It looked about 400- 500 feet to me. The first launch took place on a high school football field. Luckily the wind was dead still or I probably would of lost it. I also enjoyed the special Star Wars chute. It's dark colors made visibility and tracking easy. It's a shame that Estes discontinued this one so if you find one GRAB IT! You won't be disappointed." (D.B.Jr.)

SPECIFIC ROCKET TIP:
11/03 - "I recommend you cut a spill hole in the parachute when launching in a field with less than 500' in all directions." (J.A.S )
