Semroc Astronautics Corporation: New product announcement
NARAM-50
The xKits are here!
The Mark by Semroc is a recreation of the earliest version of the
Mark from Estes Industries in 1961. The original Mark was designed for Estes by G. Harry Stine while he was President
of the NAR. It was Catalog #K-2. Our kit features a BT-30 body tube, balsa nose cone and balsa engine block. It
includes a rubber shock cord and paper streamer like the original.
The Semroc V-2 is based on the Estes Catalog #K-22 semi-scale model of the
German V-2. It includes both the scale and semi-scale laser-cut fins. This has been one of the most requested kits at
Semroc.
The Space Plane is back at Semroc! This replaces the earlier
cc:Space Plane with a model closer to the original incorporating a BT-30 airframe. The Space Plane was designed by John
Shutz and Vern Estes and was released as Catalog #K-3 in 1961.
The X-Rayis based on an early clear payload model released in 1964
by Estes as Catalog #K-18.
The Penetrator is a recreation of the first Flight Systems, Inc.
(FSI) kit. It features pre-cut plywood fins, round elastic, and an engine mount to work with modern 18mm engines. It
can be fired with 21mm engines, if you have them.
The Constellation is a recreation of another Estes clear payload
design. It featured distinctive teardrop fin tips and was released in 1968, originally as a free kit.
The SST Shuttle-1 is a re-release of an original Centuri Engineering
design from 1971. It was their Catalog #KC-17 and was based on some early NASA shuttle designs. This model is similar
to our cc:SST Shuttle-1 that was discontinued last year.
Many more xKits are in the works!
