A: I want to say it was called pleasant beach or something but it was somewhere between Melbourne and Cocoa. We were by the air force base so planes came across all day, it was really cool. Q: It looks a little darker than on TV. What color is the jet in real life? A: Basically it looks like a ball of dark orange fire going into the sky. It looks nothing like the bright yellow jet you see on TV. Q: Could you feel it/hear it from where you were? A: No, I couldn't. But I saw it go to space, and seeing is believing. I cried. It was very powerful to me. Q: Why couldn't the space shuttle get wet? A: It's so cold high in the atmosphere that the tiles that protect the shuttle on reentry would crack. Feel free to ask questions! Random Fun Fact Narrative Thing When I was on a field trip to the Huntsville space center place, I got to put my hand on the back of one of those tiles they use to protect the shuttle on reentry. I put my hand on the back of it and they put a blowtorch to the front of it and it didn't change A BIT! Everyone said the front turned red and all but all i saw was white, I was beginning to wonder if they actually were doing anything except the fact the blowtorch made that sound. But the silicone tile was so soft my fingernail actually made a dent in it like foam. Isn't that amazing?
