This upload covers the fiery re-entry and demise of the space station on July 11, 1979. Originally, I hadn't planned on recording any of it, but I finally decided I really should. I was there to record the thing when it went up; hence I really should be there to record the thing when it came down. I guess you can say doing so brought "closure." It also permitted me to cut my teeth on a "newer and better" cassette recorder I got the previous Christmas, in anticipation of the Shuttle flights. I would also soon have in my possession a "newer and better" multi-band radio in order to support that upcoming recording effort----that is if they could keep the tiles from falling off and finally get the thing off the ground.
