" . . .sent a personal check for $18.00 ($15.00 for the software plus $3.00 S . . .H) . . ..I had the two diskettes in my hand . . .seven days later."
"AeroDRAG can interactively predict rocket drag coefficients for input into WinRoc or wRASP to more accurately predict light performance."
"AeroDRAG includes the ability to predict the flight performance of multi-staged rockets...up to three stages . . .."
" . . .computes supersonic and hypersonic drag up to Mach 10!"
" . . .equipped with an extensive help file . . ."
"The program consists of a single, large window with individual sub-sections to input the various measurements taken from your rocket vehicle."
"The fin section has a provision for up to 3 sets of fins . . .."
" . . .options section with the main window lobar to input fin sweep angle, calculate average drag coefficient and maximum Mach number."
" . . .Velocity Selection . . .computes your subsonic aerodynamic drag."
" . . .also has a rocket flight performance feature that will help you to compute your ballistic coefficient . . .burnout altitude . . .burnout velocity . . .average acceleration in G's."

The article suggests that the software is easy to use and will benefit those into the science of rocketry.

AeroDRAG has gone through extensive rewriting and expansion since the original review. It is now an extremely capable and accurate flight prediction program. It is not a CAD-like design program. However, with the minimal necessary input one can predict flight behavior across a far greater range than most people will ever achieve. It can handle everything from Micromaxx models to Mach 20, 100 mile altitude machines. If you need CAD design capability, look elsewhere. But if you want an accurate and educational piece of flight predication and optimization software, with an extensive and expandable motor library, that you can use without having the struggle through a complete virtual building process, this is the software you want. The price has recently (as of this writing, June 2005) been reduced from $40 to $35. Armed with this, and the other AeroRocket program for CP prediction and fin flutter analysis, AeroCP, I can quickly and easily do analyses that I can't do as well with software costing twice as much.
