Robert Synoski's scratch built 2.6 inch Blue Tube v1.0 rocket flying on a 54mm Aerotech J1999 Warp 9 motor. Rocket weighed about 6 pounds and the motor is 491 lbs of thrust for only a half second. Altitude and location are unknown as the tracking transmitter stopped sending and Robert's notion is that the g forces pulled the battery off of the electronics. It sounded like a gunshot and if the simulation data is to be believed, it hit about 750 mph in a half second, about as fast as a .22 short. The airframe was just plain Blue Tube with red fins, nose and clearcoat over it. Estimating at least 80 g's of acceleration!
