This was our attempt at Level 2 High Power Rocketry Certification -- we had to take a 37 question written test, then fly a large rocket on at least a "J" motor and successfully recover it without damage. The cloud deck was pretty low, but we thought from simulation data that we would probably be okay. Turns out we were wrong, but the on-board rocket camera got some great footage of breaking through the clouds...
