On this video I talk about the chute deflector on a lawn mower, and whether or not you should leave it on, or take it off. I know a lot of guys take the chute deflector off their lawn mower, but I would suggest you don't. There are a lot of reasons to keep the deflector on, including minimizing the debris that can shoot up and out of the mower deck. If you are doing large properties that aren't by any houses or cars and people, then I guess you could flip up the chute deflector. But around residential properties and subdivisons, I would be extremely cautious about flipping up that chute. What are your guys thoughts? Do you guys take them off, or do you leave them on?
