Contributed by Shawn Bradley Brief: A ready to fly kit with a basic rocket that looks cool! A great rocket for beginners.
Construction: The kit is a starter set and comes with a Code Red rocket (already assembled except for the parachute) and a launcher & ignitor controller.
Pros: No construction, except for attaching the parachute! Cons: nose fits on loosely, had to use tape to make tighter.
Construction Rating: 5 out of 5
Flight: I went to the field, loaded up the rocket, put in about 2 sheets of wadding, put in an A8-3 motor, and It flew about 84 feet up in the air! Like I said, its a beginners rocket.
Altitudes:
- A8-3 - 84 feet
- B4-4 - 230 feet
- B6-4 - 254 feet
- C6-5 - 600 feet!
Recovery: Descent is perfect, and it doesn't drift much. If you use higher powered motors, I'd use a streamer.
Flight Rating: 5 out of 5
Summary: I like the rocket, and it has a cool red reflective finish. I highly recommend this rocket to a beginner who wants to have some fun and not worry about losing the rocket.
