Joel Chambers launched Aerolite III for Tripoli High-power rocketry level 3 certification. The rocket went 16,500 feet on a Cesoroni M1830 C-Star. The rocket reached a maximum Mach number of 1.57. He built the Madcow DX3 XL fiberglass kit and integrated a Raven 3 and Adept 22 altimeter. Tracking was accomplished using the BRB900 GPS system and a Communication Specialist line-of-sight RF tracker. The rocket was successfully recovered and Joel is now level 3 certified.
