Later, I taught summer classes for elementary school kids where we did model rocket kits. It was fun, but again nothing special.
Then my boyfriend discovered some unique looking rockets at the local hobby shop. He and his brother built a few kits and invited me to the launch. When I saw how cool model rockets can be and how fun it is to build and launch them, I was hooked! Now, I love buying, building, and flying model rockets. (I am usually working on 5 at a time!) My favorite rockets are the sci-fi inspired designs, and the oddball rockets. I giggle and squeal every time I watch Sputnik fly.
