Flight Log - 2013-10-04 - Hans "Chris" Michielssen's Centuri Satellite 62SL

Built this clone from planes on www.oldrocketplans.com

The pictured antennas measured 4" long. I found out after cutting the dowels and building the model that the original issue of the kit had 8" long antennas!

Not a big deal, the art for decals is done and the model flew stable with the shorter legs.

Flight Date: 2013-10-04
Rocket Name: Centuri Satellite 62SL
Kit Name: Centuri - Satellite 62SL {Kit} (5302, KM-2) [1973-1979]
Flyer's Name: Hans "Chris" Michielssen

The engine block was moved forward to improve stability with the shorter 4" antenna fins. Not stable enough! Flew off at 45 degrees in an "S" flight path. Landed 100 yards away. Retired.
