Flight Log - 2015-08-30 - Rick Barnes's Advanced Target Drone 2.25X

I built this upscale of an Estes Advanced Target Drone after building a clone of the original and finding that Excelsior made upscale decals in this size.  It was a little more challenging than other upscales that Ive done, insomuch as I made the body shrouds out of 1/16th ply, and designed to build it as a 3x24mm cluster while I was at it.  The added motor mounts are parallel the to the main mount in the shrouds.  It came out a little heavier than I'd hoped, at 13.5 oz, but it should fly fine on 3 D12's or a single E30 composite.

Flight Date: 2015-08-30
Rocket Name: Advanced Target Drone 2.25X
Flyer's Name: Rick Barnes
Motors: 2xD11-p+D12-7
Launch Site: Torrey Farm, Potter, NY
Actual Altitude: 900.00 Feet

Good flight.  All three motors lit, and the rocket landed close by in the carrots.  The recently lengthened shock cord seems to have help prevent additional wing-whacks.
