NRC 1/4A PD Flight attempt using one of my spare PD models from NARAM.  used an ASP  15" competition Mylar chute which was folded at the field (not ideal).  The wind had become quite gusty at launch and I tried to time a nice lull.  Got a nice straight boost out of the tower, surprisingly high, even without a piston.  The chute deployed perfectly at apogee and the rocket began to drift across the plowed fields.  Rocket caught several nice small thermals and gained significant altitude.  I had been chasing it, but eventually stopped as I believed the rocket had drifted off the field and into the woods.  Timers lost sight of the rocket at 3:48, but the LCO tracked it with binoculars and said that it had in fact landed on the field  and gave me a good point out.  Unfortunately, even though the rocket was on the field, it had landed in the middle of a large pond.  I did not attempt to recover it.  It is always exciting to see a rocket under chute climbing away.
