Estes Wizard - new look (1)

Flight

Launched with my son this morning.  Of course, the Wizard struck the only obstacle on the field (a soccer goal) and stripped some paint off the NC.  Perfect otherwise. - Estes A8-3 - Southwestway Park [More]

Estes Guardian

Flight

Should've used a B6-2, even in the slight breeze.  Good recovery despite a big, arcing flight into the wind. - Estes B6-4 - Southwestway Park [More]

Estes Mini Max

Flight

Launched with my son this morning.  Nice flight as usual on an A10. - Estes A10-3T - Southwestway Park [More]

Fliskits Avalear

Flight

First flight on a B6-4.  Nice recovery on an 8 inch chute, despite the shock cord getting tangled and melted.  It will need replaced for next flight.  My shiny new Avalear barely missed some trees on landing - I was lucky to get it back.  - B6-4 - Lawrence Park [More]

Semroc Micron 13mm

Flight

First flight was a real beauty on an A3-4.  A perfect motor for this rocket (converted to 13mm motor mount).  Remained visible, nice streamer deployment and recovery. - Estes A3-4T - Lawrence Park [More]

Estes Crossbow SST

Flight

I went with an A8-3 for a safe first flight.  The Crossbow flew as expected - very nice.  Recovered on an 8 inch chute. - Estes A8-3 - Lawrence Park [More]

Estes Big Bertha

Flight

Big Bertha's debut flight at the AMOREA club launch.  Very nice on a C11-5 with a 13 inch chute.  Drifted a little and landed on top of the big hill.  This rocket should really haul on a D. - Estes C11-5 - Lawrence Park [More]

Estes Wizard - vintage look (2)

Flight

First flight of the AMOREA season.  Perfect flight on an A6-4.  My fin repair job held up well with no broken fins this time. - Quest A6-4 - Lawrence Park [More]

Starlight Sparrow

Flight

Another big arcing boost, but the Sparrow finally flew!  Added nose weight resulted in a nice but short glide. - Estes 1/2A6-2 - Lawrence Park [More]

Estes Guardian

Flight

I should've shorteded the delay or not angled the rod into the wind - BIG weathercock, crashed hard on parking lot.  The nose cone broke loose, but no other damage.  This is a reliable, tough rocket, but is prone to weathercocking. - Estes C6-5 - Lawrence Park [More]
