[Rocket Pic]

Futuristic style rocket with fancy fins arrangement and very cool nose cone.

Assembly was a little more involved than most kits because of the fins. Otherwise, easy and straight forward. I finished the rocket like the package except I used metallic aluminum instead of light gray. I used Testors enamel for the red portions. Filling and sanding all fins gave me smooth and clean surfaces to paint. The decals really make the kit an eye-catcher. This rocket is destined to become another of my favorite rockets that should get a lot of attention at the field.

I have flow the Nimbus, usually only on smaller engines with BIG Parachutes so it lands softttt!  I really love this rocket and it always gets attention when I put it on the pad. An A8-3 is a little on the smallish side for this rocket, but B6-4 and C6-5's are great. Nice straight no roll boost (I may have a picture soon of liftoff :-)

The only problem I have had is with its age.  I put a lot of work into painting and finishing.  No BT Spirals BUT now I think because of its age the rocket ie "yellowing" ?? where the spirals are right through the many many layers of paint and clear coat.  This stinks but it is not "that" bad!
