Bob Dickenson's Tripoli Level 3 certification flight. His Nike Smoke was launched on April 18, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. This was my favorite flight of the weekend. Not the biggest rocket, not the highest flyer, but a perfectly executed Level 3 certification flight. Congrats Bob from your friends at Napas! Brian Brodersen's 'Saucy Wench' (2011-07-13)

Brian Brodersen's performance machine called 'Saucy Wench'. Launched on November 6th, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. A beautiful flight to 7000 feet but the rocket was not recovered. She sleeps silently in the woods and fields of Three Oaks. Brian's "No Surrender" Hypertek CATO (2011-07-13)

Brian's "No Surrender" rocket was supposed to launch on a Hypertek M1010FX hybrid. After nitrous fill, ignition failed and only a white flash was seen. The motor CATO'd on the second fire attempt, likely due to a fractured grain. Fragments were found scattered up to 25 feet away. "No Surrender" will live up to its name and fly again one day...

Brian's EX L600 Hybrid Rocket (2011-05-29)

Brian Brodersen's "Rocket of a 1000 Corpses" was launched on April 16, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team-1 rocket club. The rocket was constructed from the leftover remains of many other rockets which is how it got its name. It flew on an experimental L600 HTPB & Nitrous Oxide hybrid motor. At LDRS 28 this particulator rocket and motor configuration flew to over 10000 feet. This time it became the victim of wind shear just after leaving the launch rail... www.napas.net www.team1.org

Crayon Rocket Drag Race (2011-07-13)

A three way Crayon Rocket drag race on CTI Pro38 G-motors. The rockets are scratch built using crayon piggy banks from Toy's 'R' Us. They are quick to build, fly pretty good, and reach about 1500 feet on G-motors. Great fun. Drag Race Standings Kathy - 1st place for closest to the pad Jeff - 2nd place for first off the pad Eldred - 3rd place for best color scheme (purple & yellow)

Group Therapy Rocket (2011-06-26)

A large group project flown on April 18, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. After a great flight it came down on a giant 27 foot chute for a gentle landing. Despite the recovery harness draping across some power lines the rocket was retrieved successfully.

Jay's Impulse Buys Rocket (2011-07-13)

Jay Calvert's Impulse Buys rocket on a 9 motor cluster with two sets of airstarts. Launched on April 18, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. It produced a huge smoke cloud and had a great flight. Nice job Jay. www.impulse-buys.com www.team1.org www.napas.net

Kevin Fraser's Escape Velocity (2011-07-13)

Kevin's level 2 certification attempt with his Escape Velocity on a J335 Red Lightning. Nice straight boost and apogee event but the main didn't come out as planned. He'll get it next time. www.napas.net

Little Indian N10000 Vmax CATO (2011-06-20)

A minimum diameter carbon fiber rocket on an N10000 Vmax motor. Launched on April 18, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. It had a spectacular CATO about 500 feet in the air just at motor burn out. There was some difficulty during motor assembly which resulted in a ~2" gap between grains and was likely the cause.

The Fifth and Final Flight of the Fabulous Freaky Flyer. Launched on April 18, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. It's a 17 times upscale of an Estes Freaky Flyer built by the North American Propulsion and Aerospace Society. NAPAS Launch - November 28, 2010 (2011-06-23)

The last Napas rocket launch of the year held on November 28, 2010. It was exceptionally cold but we flew a few rockets and put on a show for the cows. Yep, cows like rockets. Who knew? Renovatio - L3 Certification flight on M1810RL (2011-07-13)

Renovatio is Latin for rebirth. This rocket had CATO'd before but this time was a perfectly executed level 3 certification flight. Launched November 6th, 2010 on a CTI M1810 Red Lightning motor. Rick's Bad Attitude Rocket (2011-07-13)

Rick Dunseith's Competitor 4 rocket is called "Bad Attitude" and was launched on April 18, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team-1 rocket club. It flew on a CTI L935 Imax motor to 8905 feet. This rocket flies bullet straight every time even in strong winds. Recovery is controlled by PerfectFlite HiAlt45K and R-DAS Classic altimeters deploying dual 60" SkyAngle chutes. Rick's Evolution 3 Rocket (2011-07-13)

Rick Dunseith's Evolution 3 "Nocturnal Pleasure" was launched on April 16, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team-1 rocket club. It flew on a CTI L640 Dual Thrust motor to 6282 feet. Lift off from the pad was very brisk due to the initial spike from the dual thrust motor. It flew perfectly despite the very windy conditions. www.napas.net www.team1.org

Didn't catch the details of this rocket but it was a nice flight on a sparky motor. Launched April 16, 2010 in Three Oaks, Michigan.

Terry Leright's Vostock II (2011-06-26)

A beautifully finished carbon fiber rocket by Terry Leright called Vostock II. Launched on November 6th, 2010 at the Three Oaks launch held by the Team 1 rocket club. The four outboard motors all lit on the pad and separated perfectly but unfortunately the main motor didn't airstart. Looking forward to seeing this one fly again in spring.
