Video recorded from onboard a model rocket. The entire clip is slowed to 1/2 of actual speed. This is the fifth flight of the RATV-2 rocket amateur television payload, on October 13, 2007 at the Rantoul Aviation Center in Rantoul, Illinois. The rocket is 2.6" in diameter, about 4 feet long, weighs 4.5 pounds and was powered by an Aerotech I161-L motor. A 1.5 watt amateur TV transmitter at 434 MHz sends these images to a receiver on the ground. Produced by Greg Smith, N9LHI, with the cooperation of the Central Illinois Aerospace rocket club.
