Brief:
This is a rocket that I actually couldn't wait for it to hit the market it is a beautiful looking bird (rocket) to me because I am a fool for some tube-finned or combinations of. This is futuristic looking rocket with upswept fins pods and winglets on all four fins. It is 18mm I love this design so I have already done one clone 24mm and working on another one and a 29mm

Construction:
Quest uses 35mm tubes and cones they only have plastic cones. Fins were balsa. Pod uses two plastic cones and a 5.25 20mm tube. The kit comes with a 1/8 launch lug. The motor mount is typical with the Kevlar® attachment for the elastic shock cord and decals a lot of them.

This is a rocket that will test your building skills for sure. First after reading instructions twice. I started in sections: Tubes, cones, fins and motor mount. I would also recommend painting before assembly the fins and the pod just mask the glue area. I started with the motor mount. Then used the wood filler for the spirals on all three tubes.Used the filler to fill the gaps on the nose cones also. Now I knew when I took the fins out of their tree that they needed to be beefed up, so I CAed all the balsa parts both sides and the paper boat tail.

The assembly starts now with the attaching of the tube with the fins attached to it to the body tube let dry then attach the pod let dry. Then lastly I put in the motor mount assembly and let dry. I also swapped out the launch lug for a 3/16 one and I did not use the elastic cord that came with the kit, instead I used a 30 inch piece of nylon cord. I used white Gorilla glue and Gorilla CA to attach everything.

Finishing:
Well as I said earlier, paint before assembly there are places that are very hard to get to after assembly. The instructions are OK. Could not paint according to the picture but got close and it looks good to me. I used Walmart basic red, black and silver. Decals are not my thing so I put on as many as I could.

Construction Rating: 4 out of 5

Flight:
I used B64 on all three flight it was kind of windy so had to be careful.

Motor is held in by motor hook.

Recovery:
Rocket arched over perfectly great flights.

Flight Rating: 5 out of 5

Summary:
Overall I love this rocket it has style and grace. The cons are the balsa wings you must CA them to sturdy them up.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5

Other:
Paint before assembly.

CA balsa parts.

Have fun and fly high.
