Brief:
A sleek, single stage rocket that is ideal for beginners.

Construction:
The kit came pre-cut fins, motor tube, motor hook, cardboard body tube, plastic nose cone, length of Kevlar®, round elastic and streamer material.

I found that this rocket went together easily and quickly. The instructions were good and this was the first kit I had built that had no major problems. I did have problems attaching the fins because the shock cord which was attached to the nose cone made it impossible to stand the rocket on it's end in order to attach the fins.

Finishing:
This rocket was quite easy to finish, I simply sealed the fins and then used spray paint.

Construction Rating: 4 out of 5

Flight:
This can be quite a high altitude rocket and can drift for long distances in wind. I have flown it 4 times now on B and C class motors and have had quite nice flights on all of them.

This rocket was quite easy to prep and required a few sheets of wadding. The flights are usually high and fast which makes this rocket fun to fly especially for beginners. I found it does weathercock slightly but not on the dramatic scale that some rockets do.

I do have one problem: on my rocket's fourth flight on ejection the motor hook kicked back about an inch tearing the motor tube as it did. I would suggest that people building this kit to put a little extra glue around that area.

Recovery:
I feel that the streamer does it's jobs very well but the rocket comes down slowly which makes it prone to drift remarkable distances.

Flight Rating: 4 out of 5

Summary:
The Quest Sprint is a great rocket for beginners to build and fly yet it still offers something for the slightly more experienced rocketeer. The flights are high and good fun to watch. They also can result in a long walk.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5

I built this kit as one of my NARTREK bronze models, I used it for the 30 second streamer requirement. I nailed 40 seconds with a 4 inch bye 40 inch streamer. I highly recommend it as a streamer or parachute duration model.
