[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Streamer recovery.

Construction and finishing: All parts were there, and none defective or damaged. Begad! Blimey! Arrr! Blimey! You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, shiver me timbers, Estes type. Begad! Blimey! T' nose cone is unusual, me hearties, ya bilge rat, though. Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, you get solid hardwood. Avast! Blimey! A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, shiver me timbers, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Begad! Blimey! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Elmers glue be used for construction. Ya scallywag! Blimey! T' instructions were simple and clear. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Assembly took just about an hour. Ahoy! Blimey! Aye aye! Blimey! No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, so I decorated it in me own way. I used white, ya bilge rat, blue, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Arrr! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, A8-3, B4-4 or 6, me hearties, B6-6, shiver me timbers, C6-5 or 7, me bucko, arrr, C10-7, ya bilge rat, D3-7, ya bilge rat, and D10-7. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Well, arrr, blow me down! Blimey! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Avast! Blimey! Well, me hearties, blow me down! Blimey! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Recovery was quick and easy. Avast! Blimey! However, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, t' streamer be burned a little. Arrr! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! So, matey, me bucko, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Just about right, shiver me timbers, ya bilge rat, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Flies straight and fairly high. Avast! Streamer wasn't durable, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
