Awesome Launch and Recovery: Second Attempt (2011-06-28)

Yesterday's launch wasn't complete, so I was told. Because the rocket never touched the ground...got stuck in a tree. So this is my second attempt. Which ends our series. Next project, 4" diameter Road Runner for the Cayote challenge from Dan Pollino. Further details to come.

Mechanical Deployment System (New and Improved) with launch (2011-06-28)

I designed this deployment system because I had no luck with delay-grain/pyrogen deployment. This is an improved modification on my earlier posted mechanical deployment system. The system weighs 10 ounces and has been modified for smaller rockets weighing in at only 4 ounces. I've had 6 perfect launches with this system. It has yet to fail me...yet. This system was used in the launch as well.
