Brief:
The Semroc Rocket Rack is a trick looking and affordable method of displaying all but the largest LPR rockets in your fleet in a way that would rival a museum.

Construction:
The Rocket Rack arrived intact with the Semroc Goliath that I received from BRS Hobbies. Everything was intact and damage free. The instruction manual pulls double duty as the header card in the package. There are essentially 4 items that make up the Rocket Rack kit: a piece of laser-cut fiberboard, 2 tubes, and the instruction manual.

The build consists of punching out a bunch of pieces, several of which are contained in holes of other pieces (so don't throw anything away till you are done with the build!) The precision of the cuts make for a perfect fit of every piece. The fiberboard pieces felt a little flimsy at first--especially for the larger pieces that make up the legs, however, white glue is more than sufficient to glue everything together and the Rocket Rack becomes significantly more rigid as the parts come together. I had it fully assembled in about 30 minutes. I was left with a museum quality stand that even included a little placard for displaying the name of the rocket! (In fact, all Semroc kits come with a small card about the kit that is the perfect size for the placard.)

And on the subject of laser cut fiberboard, I have but only one gripe about the Rocket Rack. There is a fair amount of carbon residue from the laser tracings. The Rocket Rack looks so slick with its laser embossed Semroc logo on it, that I didn't want to paint it. Unfortunately from me handling the rack during the build, it has gray smudges all over it. This wouldn't be an issue though if I chose to paint it.

Finishing:
I thought it was too pretty to paint even with my fingerprint smudges on it!

Summary:
I tested it with several LPR rockets in my fleet. The biggest were my FlisKits Praetor and newly built Semroc Goliath (standing 24" tall and weighing 3oz), which the Rocket Rack proved to be more than strong enough to support.

If you're looking for an ultra cool and impressive way to display your LPR fleet, look no further than the Semroc Rocket Rack. It is inexpensive too!

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5

This is a Great Rocket stand much better looking than the Normal 4 legged balsa stands, I've put my Outlander (among others to test) on it with the rocket post installed straight. I'll definitely be adding more of these to my collection.
