Brief:
The Sentry is a single stage scale rocket.

Construction:
The kit comes with 1-engine hook, 1-BT60 body tube, 1-balsa nosecone, 1-MT24 engine tube, 1-BT50 thrust ring, 1-Basswood fin stock, 1-9806 template sheet, 1-Balsa wood fin stock, 2-medium snap swivels, 1 shock cord, 1-medium launch lug, 1-shroud line set, 1-thin wooden dowel, 1-medium screw eye, 1-18" synthetic parachute, 1-wet and slide decal sheet, and 2-CR2460 Composite centering rings.

The instructions are very easy to follow, and even some tips and hints are given. All the parts fit together with little or no adjustments. The fins are the tough part because you have to cut them out from a template, and there are 8 of them. Care must be taken to align all the fins. I used Ace hardware brand epoxy and paint to finish the model

Finishing:
The Sentry come with a lot of small decals, and it was a little difficult to align them all properly. The decal sheet is the wet and slide type, and is very delicate. I painted the entire rocket white, as per instructions, applied the decals, and clear coated the model. When the clear coat went on, the decals faded. I contacted the manufacturer and suggested vinyl decals for this reason.

Construction Rating: 4 out of 5

Flight:
I flew the rocket on an E30-10, a little more delay than suggested. Suggested motor is an E30-7. It uses a motor hook, so motor just slides in. I used the insulation shredded paper for wadding. The rocket took off like a bullet. Was that a sonic pop I heard? According to manufacturer's rock sim, if the conditions are right, it will break the sound barrier on an E-30. Cool! The extra delay time allowed the rocket to deploy just after apogee.

Recovery:
The 18 inch chute brought the rocket down at a good pace. I was surprised to find no damage, because of the speed and balsa fins. It ready to go again.

Flight Rating: 5 out of 5

Summary:
I would recommend this model to an experienced builder. It is a neat looking rocket. Main pro's-The materials used in this kit are all top notch. Main cons-Decals

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5
