AIRFest 18 Teaser
The 2012 AirFest-18 was the one of a kind mega-event. The KLOUDBusters hosted the event on the legendary Rocket Pasture and attracted the largest assembly of Scale Rockets in the History of High Power. The three center piece projects were Vern Hoag's Four N-5800 powered Saturn 1B, Team Nebraska's P-Motor powered, (towerless), Mercury Redstone and Steve Eves Two-Stage Saturn 1B boosting on a Central P-7000 and four N-3800's and designed to stage to a 4.5" diameter O-Motor. Scale models of all shapes, sizes and power ranges flew at AIRFest-18 including the Arizona Rocketry Team's O-5000 Upscale Drake, Chris Short's O-5000 powered Orange Crush and John Clifton's O-3500 powered Upscale Corkscrew. There was no shortage of large earth shaking, bone rattling projects at AIRFest-18 taking advantage of the 50,000' waiver.
