Allsky view - 20191123-24 Meteor Fireball and Starlink Mega Constellation
2019 NOV 23 - 24 Another nights view from my little Raspberry Pi Allsky camera. I just happened to catch a meteor fireball burnup and leave a smoke trail at 0245. Then the next round of SpaceX's Starlink mega satellite constellation made an appearance at 0510 with 60 satellites streaking by in just a few minutes. More info on SpaceX's NOV 11th Starlink launch. https://spaceflightnow.com/2019/11/11/successful-launch-continues-deployment-of-spacexs-starlink-network/ Allsky Equipment: Raspberry Pi 3B+ w/ standard noobs/Rasbian OS and Allsky software. Camera is a ZWO ASI224MC with stock wide angle lens included with camera. I also use this little astro cam as a planetary imager and small field deep space imager when attached to my telescope. RasPi Software build thanks to Thomas Jacquin: https://github.com/thomasjacquin/allsky https://www.instructables.com/id/Wireless-All-Sky-Camera/ Allsky produces a nightly timelapse, star trails, and a keogram at the end of the night. 4:33 - Meteor fireball burst with swirling smoke trail 5:30 - SpaceX StarLink constellation flyby with a satellite "flare"
