Beautiful day, muddy field! (2013-03-02 23:30:18)2013-03-02 23:30:18Today's launchs were pretty good. There was nearly no wind and the temp was in the 50's.
The first rocket I put up was a Serin on an A6-4. It was a great flight, but I must have packed the parachute improperly and it failed to open. The result was a broken fin. It could have been much worse, but the field was so muddy from the melting snow, I think that cushioned the crash quite a bit.
After that poor start, I sent up my Stormcaster three times on D12-5 motors. Those were pretty much perfect flights with video from each turning out well. I will post the video once I get it edited.
So other than the field being a mud hole, it was a great day for flying!
