Flight Log - 2012-11-03 - Christopher Ebert's Hi-Flier
Flight Date: 2012-11-03
Rocket Name: Hi-Flier
Kit Name: Estes - Hi-Flier {Kit} (2178) [2003-]
Flyer's Name: Christopher Ebert
Motors: B6-4
Launch Site: Brookstone Meadows Hole 15

Straight ascent, good deployment.  Started coming down very fast again, but I did recently find out you are supposed to put all the clay in the nose cone, so I'm just going to say the rapid descent is working as intended.

The only down side to coming down so quickly is that it ended up in a tree, and it must be in there real deep because I cannot see it at all.  Hopefully soon the leaves will turn and I'll be able to locate it.

Colonial Red is not the best color for something stuck in a tree in the fall...

All in all it wasn't a great launch day, I probably should have just stopped when the motor mount on Big Bertha gave out.

This was originally intended as a Nartrek bronze level streamer duration flight, and from the clock it did stay up for about 38 seconds, but without a valid recovery it doesn't really count.
