I went to the high desert, Crested Butte, California, near Palmdale, to camp, hike and launch Estes model rockets. We had an awesome time and hope to launch more rockets in the near future. I am really enjoying having a son and teaching him things. We took the rocket I built back in the 1980's, and we built a new rocket together. Unfortunately, we lot his rocket, but it was designed to fly 1650 feet, and there was a lot of wind. I don't thin anyone else flew higher that day. If you have a son, I recommend signing him up for Cub Scouts. If you don't have a son, I recommend having one. It's great fun.
