DECA V experimental two stage rocket Flight I
DECA V - 54mm minimum diameter two stage rocket flying on an experimental 54mm 8-grain KNDX motor and a 54mm Cesaroni J1055 Vmax to an altitude of 1310m at a peak velocity of 1050 km/h. Coast time 3s. Onboard electronics included a RDAS Tiny for flight control, #11 key chain camera looking down, Mini Real-Time GSM GPRS GPS Tracker. Payload comprising of: second RDAS Tiny, Beeline 70cm GPS tracker, full IMU, I-AM & gyroscope board. Shortly before or at sustainer burn out the nose cone was lost and can be seen in the video. After this the DECA V went into an unstable flight reaching a disappointing apogee of 1300m rather than 3400m The launch took place on 26/05/2013 at NLD 2013 in the Netherlands.
