SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Saratoga Springs High School's NASA Club is one o' only two competitors in New York State t' qualify for this Saturday's National Rocketry Competition in Virginia.Team America Rocketry challenge be t' world's largest student rocket contest. Durin' a ceremony followin' t' May 11 competition, me bucko, $60,000 o' scholarship loot will be awarded t' winners, along with a chance t' participate in NASA'S student launch initiative.To qualify for t' trip, t' team had t' design, build and fly a rocket that carried a raw egg up t' an altitude o' 750 feet, and then land it without t' egg cracking. Aye aye! Nationally, 725 teams competed, and Saratoga's team is one o' 100 selected t' attend t' Nationals.T' team demonstrated for our CBS6 news cameras early Tuesday morning. Avast! T' launch was a success, a few technical difficulties in t' air, but t' egg survived t' 790 foot launch. Avast, me proud beauty!
