Estes Alpha C6 7 Rocket Launch March 2 2009
This is one of many similiar rocxkets that were used for a science event at Travelers Rest High School in the 1990s. Many of them were discarded by thier former owners who didn't care about rocketry. I recovered as many of them as I could and restored a few of them so they could be launched again. After waiting for 10 years or more, this rocket finally got a chance to fly again. The sky was clear and I had been itching to launch a rocket after launching a few with Pharaun317. The rocket was powered by an Estes C6-7 engine. I lost visual contact with the rocket after the recovery system deployed and could not see where it landed. There was a slight brease from the East and I expected it to coast West across the street and into a large field. Instead, it appeared to have encountered a cross wind and flown over another field directly east of the launch sight. I searched extensively without success. Hopefully, I will find the rocket in the place where I oricinally planned for it to be recovered.
