Maiden flight of my new Estes Honest John, kit #7240. This is a great kit that is fun to build, although the fins will give you quite a challenge in sanding the diamond shape into them. I bought some aftermarket decals to replicate the US Army scheme, and as can be seen in the video, the decals had some issues getting a true bond to the flat olive drab paint, which is more coarse than a glossy paint. After a month or so of sitting in the garage, parts of the decals simply flaked off. Bummer. Oh well, it's still an impressive rocket and as can be seen here, flies amazingly well!
