Estes Saturn V Apollo 11 Kit 1969 Launch

Estes Saturn V built for the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Launched Easter weekend during the Peeps Launch with AARG. Aerotech's E28 Blue Thunder motor was used, drilled to a 4 sec delay. Model was modified to use rail buttons instead of launch lugs. Centering rings were gusseted with 1/8" balsa strips to improve stiffness. A total of thirty grams of clay was added to the nose cone for stability. During the Peeps launch marshmallow chickens or bunnys ride the rockets to see who lands closest to the pad.
