This is the final launch of Hercules 2, which is a one stage payloader. Kronos 2 is partially based off it. I constructed this rocket in december, shortly after I retired Hercules 1 in november. Hercules 2 is just a refined, painted, and slightly modified version of Hercules 1. This rocket has flown more than any of my other rockets, and had the longest "life" between its maiden launch about seven months ago, to today which was its last. The flight was excellent, the rocket flying high and deploying perfectly, coming to a soft landing in an adjacent field about 400 feet southeast of the launch site. the slightly wobbly ascent was due to the "beat-up" fins, but apart from that the whole flight was flawless. This launch was a tribute to the final shuttle launch, Atlantis on July 8, a little less than three weeks before this launch.
