Flight Log - 2015-03-08 - Ken E. Coyote's Estes - Cruise Missile (Small RTR)
Flight Date: 2015-03-08
Rocket Name: Estes - Cruise Missile (Small RTR)
Kit Name: Estes - Cruise Missile {Kit}
Flyer's Name: Ken E. Coyote
Motors: A3-4T
Expected Altitude: 200.00 Feet
Wind Speed: 5.00 mph
Actual Altitude: 200.00 Feet

A little gusty, but rocket flew up fine.  At ejection the nose came out, but not the chute.  Rocket still came down fine in the snow.  Yet another chute sacrificed to the hot ejection gases.  This rocket has a triangular main body tube, so ejection gases have been going into each of the corners rather than right down the middle.  This also allows the gases to go around the chute rather than forcing it out the middle.  I had used wadding as well as dog barf, but still only the corners were blown out. I'm likely retiring this one before it eats up any more chutes or maybe I'll just give it a streamer.

Maybe it would be a cool platform to try a mini piston!
