Launch rod and wind check. Got higher than expected and was actually quite fun for what was supposed to be a check launch. Used C6-3, but it was over slushy snow, so no danger of fire. Ejection was about a third way down, rocket fell nose down (didn't "tumble") and landed without any damage. Note that if you use motors with ejection that the top gets a bit sooty.
BTW - This rocket has been sold in bulk and classroom lots for years now...I'm perplexed as to why there aren't any other flights/reviews. Good rocket and great one for new or young rocketeers.
