Brief:
A self-installing CD ROM Screen Saver, featuring great photography, lots of smoke and flame, some spectacular Cato's, and crisp detailed rockets of all sizes and shapes. I unexpectedly noticed one capture of a particular rocket gone astray ,,featuring an uncomfortable " nose on" view!

The Program:
The system requirements are:

  • Windows95/98/nt/2000/me/xp
  • 15 to 40 mb free disk space
  • PII 300+MHz is recommended

I received my software in the mail only a few days after ordering and it arrived in a heavy duty shipping pack. As expected, the case graphics and disk are professionally done. The instructions (if you need them) are printed on the inside jacket. I had no troubles installing the software, as it did this job for me with one click. After installing, I was prompted within a few seconds to indicate if I wanted to make this my current screen saver. Those that of you that feel you are not very computer "literate" will appreciate the very simple and easy installation. The installation is simply done for you!

Summary:
Pros: I like the additional option of installing different resolutions to match any variety of screen size

  • 800x600
  • 1024x768
  • 1290x960 and
  • 1600x1200

I also like the fact that you can use any of the images as a desktop background simply using the display properties dialog

cons: none

If you have the option at work, install this at your workstation. I guarantee that this screen saver will evoke a lot of questions and comments from the co-workers. You might even suggestively awaken the B.A.R. in one or two of them! For the price of a modest Estes rocket kit, this great screen saver will give you enjoyment all year long.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 5

(12/01/02) I decided to purchase the Klinger Rocket Screen Saver with minimal expectations, after all it is just rocket photos, right? Well, the short answer is yes, however, the long answer is no. It really is more than just rocket photos and yet is it nothing more than rocket photos! Whoa, too philosophical! Let me explain. The photos are taken by Marc Klinger, a professiona ...
