June 30th 2013 at approximately 12:30pm local time Portland State Aerospace Society successfully launched our "LV2.3" rocket. Smoothly accelerating for 5 seconds on a roaring 'N' class solid rocket motor we nearly reached the speed of sound before coasting to an altitude of almost 4,000 meters. This view is of the launch with a 600 frame per second camera, the playback is 30 times slower than real time!
