Flight Log - 2019-09-28 - Matthew Bond's 13mm Duration 001

Scratch built NRC duration rocket with a 13mm motor mount, BT-20 body tube and ultra light Apogee vacuum formed nosecone.

Flight Date: 2019-09-28
Rocket Name: 13mm Duration 001
Flyer's Name: Matthew Bond
Motors: 1/2A3-4
Wind Speed: 4.00 mph
Launch Site: SEARS

My second 1/2A PD flight of the day.  Nice straight boost out of the tower, good chute deploy at apogee.  Started climbing and moving almost immediately.  gained some serious altitude and kept moving downwind.  finally started descending over the adjacent field.  One time lost sight as is got below the tree line, the other tracked it to the ground.  177 second duration.  Recovered by the local ATV crew.  One shroud line pooped on the parachute, pretty sure that was the result of an "over-zealous" recovery munchkin.
