Flight Log - 2011-11-11 - Matthew Bond's 1.61x Upscale Mighty Mick "Mega Mick"
Flight Date: 2011-11-11
Rocket Name: 1.61x Upscale Mighty Mick "Mega Mick"
Kit Name: Scratch - Mega Mick {Scratch}
Flyer's Name: Matthew Bond
Motors: G80-9
Expected Altitude: 1,730.00 Feet
Wind Speed: 8.00 mph
Launch Site: ROCstock XXXIV
Actual Altitude: 1,266.00 Feet

Nice skidmark boost, loud and fast.  Arcing into the wind, still nose up at ejection.  Shock cord broke a couple of feet above the lip of the body tube.  Rcoket body came in flat, nose cone recovered under chute.  One fin cracked almost through, just above the fillet line.  Not sure if it's repairable.  Flown with a Jolly Logic Altimeter One for data, can't really explain the low altitude versus the sim prediction.  This was the 19th flight of this rocket, there were some frayed spots on the shock cord, but nothing that would compromise flat woven kevlar?
