Finally got my hands on one of the latest CTI 38mm longburn motors and went for broke!  Great boost initially, looked real nice coming off the rail.  Picked up a pretty good lean to the right about 100 feet off the ground and kept going untill it was out of sight.  Could not see or hear the apogee event.  Had a good signal from the tracker and after a couple of minutes several folks saw the main come out well off the field and over the trees.  Tracked it visually and was hoping that it might have landed on a small field near the access road.  Started the long walk and a fellow on an ATV offered me a ride.  Got close and started hunting with the tracker.  had to backtrack a bit but eventually spotted the drogue chute in some high brush on high ground surrounded by water.  Couldn't find a dry way in so I hiked back to get my car and my rubber boots.  Got to the landing spot and found the booster section of the rocket in the water.  Recovered everything intact, it will remain to be seen how the back end dries out.  Highest flight I've successfully completed to date by almost 1000 feet, and I'm sure it would have been at least a couople of hunderd feet higher with a straight boost.
