Flight Date: 2015-12-05
Rocket Name: 2.70x Upscale Super Neon "Sooper Neon"
Flyer's Name: Matthew Bond
Motors: I284-ALTIM
Expected Altitude: 2,750.00 Feet
Wind Speed: 12.00 mph
Launch Site: SEARS
Actual Altitude: 2,707.00 Feet

Tempting fate a little bit with the winds.  Tried to angle the rail slightly into the wind, but the rocket straightened up immediately after it cleared the pad (just like a tube fin rocket should).  Beautiful boost, nice and straight, I could see the rocket moving with the wind after burnout.  Rocket stalled out into a perfect tailstand at apogee.  Good drogue, drifting hard in the wind.  Good main chute at 500 feet, rocket landed just off the far edge of the field, but managed to avoid the trees and was recovered with no damage.
