Flight Log - 2017-02-04 - Matthew Bond's Estes Mega Der Pink Max

Estes upscaled Red Max Pro Series II kit.  Added an eyebolt to the top centering ring and replaced the shock cord with 20 feet of braided Kevlar.  Added some balsa "dams" to the motor mount which allowed me to pot the TTW fin tabs in epoxy where they attached to the motor mount.  Currently using a kevlar heat shield and a 30 inch Spherachute for recovery.  Rocket was initially flown "nekkid", but final colors will be pink with a purple nosecone and "Der Pink Max" decals from Stickershock.

Yet another sparky flight for the day.  Nice boost, straight loud and fast off the rail, not much of a show to be honest in terms of sparks, the 29mm motors just don't have enough propellant in them to do it much good.  Rocket arcing over at the top of the climb, still nose up at ejection.  Good chute, quite a bit of drift, but still well on the field.  Long walk, no damage, great flight.
