Model Rockets Compilation
Sorry for the bad quality clips, most of them were recorded a few years ago on my phone, while the good quality clips were taken today. This video is best seen in HQ and full screen. If you do/want to do model rockets, my bits of advice are: - unless you have 1/4-1/2mi. of pure open space, do not use C engines, use B preferably, use A for shorter launches. I reccomend B6-4's for large fields and A8-3's for small enclosed fields like the area shown at approx. 1:50. (Assuming you are/will be using a medium sized rocket). All three types are used in this video. - Purchase larger rockets, my small yellow $5 rocket was lost today finally, though last time it took us over 20min to find it after each launch, it's not worth it. Even when using shorter burning engines, it goes too high and too far too fast. - make sure you use enough recovery wadding or you'll ruin/lose your parachute, or worse, like what happened to us today, lose your nose cone (clip shown at approx. 2:10). Or both. By the way, we like acting like knuckleheads so unless you want to ruin your rockets or lose them, do not attempt some of the things we did.
