Flight Log - 2012-04-03 - Paul Nortness's S.C.R.A.M.

This is a clone of the S.C.R.A.M. rocket from the old Estes "Mini Tri Pack". The rocket was built from plans from JimZ's site. I couldn't find 13mm thrust rings anywhere so I took my razor saw to a spent 13mm engine case and used that. Works great! I am working on a "complete" set of S.C.R.A.M.s, culminating in a 3x24mm clustered BT-80 upscale. I decided to forego the traditional light grey/olive drab paint scheme and apply a different twist for each rocket. I chose yellow and black for this one. Decals have been ordered from Excelsior but have not arrived as of this posting.

Wow! Just like I remember. This baby boogies! Super fun flight with no hitches. Recovery was about 10 feet from the pad. Slight ding on the end of the body tube from the nose cone bouncing back.
